How Did EFT Change Your Life?
Nancy Brooker interviews Terry Hernon
Terry Hernon is a lifelong writer and procrastinator whose grammar school teachers chastised her for being "lazy, overly talkative, undisciplined, unable to sit still, and not working to her potential." After white-knuckling her way through college, her mother told her, "We knew there was something wrong with you, but we didn't know what it was."
The answer came a couple of decades later when Terry filled out physician-administered questionnaires to determine whether her children had ADHD (they did and do) and found that she herself met the criteria. After learning about EFT in 2006, she began tapping to dissolve much of the small-T trauma that resulted from a childhood of criticism and academic struggle. .
Through EFT, she overcame the procrastination that often afflicts writers, artists, and anyone who tends to dread or put off finishing projects. She has since written and published two mysteries, STITCH BY STITCH and STONE BY STONE
In this conversation, Terry shares how EFT helped facilitate her writing process, and how you can use it to overcome "stuckness"—whether you're struggling with journaling, mastering the piano, or even painting a room.
