PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) is getting much more attention than it was a few years ago, as awareness grows around the significant physical, psychological and emotional impact it can have on those who experience it and their loved ones. It is estimated to affect 1 in 20 women who menstruate.
Symptoms of PMDD can be very intense and include dysphoria, rage, depression, vertigo and migraine among many others. In this presentation, I draw on both my professional experience and my own journey with PMDD to share some guidelines on how to help clients with PMDD.
