Tapping for Caregivers with Lisa Nielsen-Karatz

Are you a caregiver for a chronically ill child or an elderly ill parent or loved one?

Join me for caregiver support. When a loved one falls ill and we are their primary caregiver, the stress can become unbearable at times, the loneliness and isolation are real. Please know that I get it, I've been there more than once and would enjoy providing some well-deserved tapping support.

My personal history includes caring for parents at their end-of-life stage and the unfortunate experience of helping my child heal from a chronic illness. My son's illness began some years ago and tapping has benefited both him and myself, which ultimately led to my becoming an EFT Practitioner. My son can be found secretly tapping on himself at times and what a joy this is to see.

I am a clinical social worker in the child welfare field. I also own a private practice where I offer individual and family therapy, while weaving tapping into our sessions.

Group structure: introduction, brief check-in, tapping on caregiver burden stress as a group or an individual volunteer, and group reflection. Please bring paper and pen to track your own Subjective Units of Distress (SUDs) numbers and thoughts that come up during the tapping session.

This event is part of our Living with Pain series, there is a page with a discussion forum for feedback Living with Pain
