A Discussion with Heather Carter - Living with Pain

Have you developed any useful strategies or techniques that are helping, or have helped you, to live with chronic pain? Do you feel as though you’re alone with your pain? Does it ever make you feel hopeless and that life isn’t worth living? Do you ever feel it’s your own fault and that you’re somehow lacking or less than because you’re still suffering despite knowing the wonderful gift of EFT? Is it time we supported each other?
Truly, I don’t have the answer to chronic pain, clearly not because it limits my energy and activity every single day and I’m pretty darned sure I’m not alone, which is why I’ve decided to host this support group and just see what happens. It’s a group for discussion, sharing and tapping together - I won’t be teaching or demonstrating, simply hosting with interest and curiosity to see if this is something that’s needed and how best we can support one another to make the best of life with pain. If we can reduce it, so much the better, but that’s not the prime intention.
I’m aware that lots of you will be busy with Christmas preparations but I’m also aware that lots of us are pasting on a smile and trying to hide just how weary and uncomfortable we are. “If I let it show, I’ll spoil Christmas for everyone else; they’ll all be sick of me; I’m such a misery …..” And so on and so on. Maybe a chat about how we really feel will help to ease us through the pressures. Let’s see.
